FIRST STEPS
The most important thing is the time, therefore, make sure you have reserved at least 1.5 hours for your visit to Sauna World. Do not enter the sauna after a big meal nor with an empty stomach. By no means are you allowed to consume alcohol before a session. Familiarise yourself with the list of contraindications for using the sauna. -
BEGINNING OF YOUR VISIT TO THE SAUNA
Before entering the sauna, take off your glasses, jewellery, watch and contact lenses. It is mandatory to take off your swimming apparel. Before your first entry, wash your body with water and gel thoroughly. This is not only for hygienic reasons. If you remove the layer of fat and cosmetics, you will start to sweat quickly, and thus, you will achieve the desirable sauna effects more quickly. -
MOVING AROUND SAUNA WORLD
Walk around the zone in flip-flops. Not only will this be more hygienic, but it will also protect you from slipping. Flip-flops are also necessary during your stay in the snow chamber or when moving to outdoor saunas. However, you must enter the sauna without shoes. Hygiene in the sauna will be ensured to you thanks to your towel. Remember to use the towel for sitting on and for putting under your feet. You must be naked or covered by a cotton sheet to enter the steam bath. -
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
Take a large towel with you to sit down or to lie on, and one more (or ideally two) to wipe your body. In the sauna you should stay naked - swimming apparel makes it difficult for sweat to evaporate. Begin with the lowest shelf. If possible, assume a lying position because then a similar temperature affects the whole body. You should spend no more than 15 minutes inside on each occasion, but your well-being is a more important indicator than the clock. Staying in the sauna is supposed to be a pleasure, so if your feel any discomfort, it means that you should leave. Two minutes before you wish to leave the sauna, return to a seated position. -
FOR REFRESHMENT
After a visit in the sauna, cool down your body. The shower should always be started as far away from the heart as possible, i.e. from the right leg. Later on, the water jet must be directed to your left leg, on your hands, and only after this, on the rest of your body. After taking a shower, you can additionally cool down your body in the snow chamber, at the swimming pool or in the open air. -
RELAX
Before entering the sauna again it is good to take some rest laying down. Relaxation should last until you feel a slight chill. You can spend this time in the tepidarium on a stone deckchair or in the green terrace. -
BATHING AFTER SAUNA
After the last exit from the sauna, do not wash your body with soap. It suffices to rinse it thoroughly, as our body is ideally clean. Do not forget about washing your feet. -
HYDRATION
This is a necessary stage of your stay in the sauna. During an entire session, you lose between 0.5 and 1 litre of water. The loss will be compensated in the best manner with mineral water or tomato juice (as it contains potassium which you lose together with your sweat). However, reach for the beverage only after your last sauna; owing to this, your body will be cleaned thoroughly.
